It’s time to Spring clean your wardrobe

The lovely Charlotte, a Soft/Warm Romantic Neat Hourglass, let me into her Aladdin’s cave of clothes yesterday. I don’t think I’ve seen so many garments packed into a one flat. And these pics were just those in the living room!

We spent a couple of hours working through her ‘yes’ pile, checking the colour and shapes then combining new outfits for her new, casual job starting in May. She now has her first week of outfits sorted before even entering a shop.

If it’s time for you to Spring clean your wardrobe, here’s some tips:

  1. Completely empty your wardrobe
  2. Try everything on
  3. Divide clothing into  5 piles – ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘maybe’, ‘dry cleaning’ and ‘tailoring’
  4. Sell expensive ‘no’ clothes on ebay and send the rest to charity shops
  5. Put everything back into your wardrobe in categories e.g. tops, jackets, cardigans, skirts, trousers, etc – except your out of season clothes which also need sorted and stored away for winter
  6. Have a drink!
