Summer party outfits

Yesterday, I finally got to check out what Leeds has to offer shopping wise … and I was very impressed! The new Trinity shopping centre has a massive range of great stores including two H&M’s, Topshop, Radley, and many more. Then there’s the glamorous Victoria Quater with Harvey Nicks and a massive range of lovely stores like NW3, Coast, Hobbs, Reiss, Karen Millen and even Vivienne Westwood! All great options if you’re looking for something special for an event this summer. I picked up this little number from Reiss which is great for a Clear Warm!

Surprisingly this is my first ever purchase from Reiss but I’m super excited about their range of dress colours this season, and this one is so easy to wear with natural heals or gladiator sandals if we ever get the weather! I can also dress it down with tights and a cardy if we don’t. For £139, I think I’ll get my monies worth.

A versatile Spring Summer outfit

Finally we have some nice weather, although it’s still a little chilly out there! This makes it really difficult to find a suitable outfit. Here’s a great combination for this mixed weather we’re having, mid-season.

I’ve combined dark trousers with a light top and jacket to give that summer feel. The ruffle on the top is one of this season’s trends which you can find in lots of high street stores. I’ve teamed it with a casual primrose jacket, picking up the colour in the top to coordinate it with. A great summer staple! Both a very reasonable price from H&M.

Or you can dress it up with the matching primrose skirt for work3 with flats, wedges or heels – this is a great option for Lights.

You can also wear the skirt on it’s own with a casual tee. So many options and very versatile!

What Ciara Wears …

If you weren’t able to make it to my Style Update Tea Party at the weekend don’t worry …  there’s another chance for you to see the key trends this season on my blog!

I’ll be showcasing what was on catwalks for Spring Summer 2013and how this translates to the high street, giving you lots of ideas on what to buy and where to shop.

Helpful eh?!

Today starts with the revival of the bomber jacket. No chance of seeing the last of them.

Difficult to wear if you have a bust and a waist as they tend to make you look bigger than you are because there’s no shape or definition.

This one I picked up from H&M for only £29.99. It’s a softer version of black and white monochrome which is everywhere at the moment. The pattern is more muted so much easier for Softs to wear if they want to do this style. I’ve teamed it up with neutral basics including a navy and gold vest top from Mango at £14.99. It dresses it up a bit more and acts as a evening top if I take the jacket off.

I love this bright patterned one from Asos at £45 which is great for Creatives and Romantics. And if you’ve got more money in the bank and you’re a Natural, go for this Alexander Wang number at the bargin price of £285 in Harvey Nicks!

Go for it!
