Want to discover Autumn Winter trends first hand?

The wait is over and the line up for this season’s London Fashion Weekend trends have been realised. If you’re looking for a fun, girly day out (even on your own!) where you can take in designer shopping, a catwalk show and pamper yourself with beauty treatments, then book yourself a ticket.

I’m looking forward to seeing the key Autumn/Winter trends for 2013 and how they’re different from February’s catwalks. Get involved!

Three lovely lassies from Ireland

Today the Dewhurst girls came to get their colours done. Mum, a Warm, and twin daughters with different colouring, Laura a Warm, and Emma a Soft. We had a great day in my revamped studio comparing colours and working out which ones they all share.

The girls had opposite skin tones, so Laura looked great in warm make-up colours whereas Emma suited Cooler colours to complement her pinky skin tones. They both invested in lots of make-up basics, which they won’t have to share!

And of course this was all followed with tea at Betty’s!

Press coverage of my colour tips for older women

I was very flattered to be asked by Kaleidoscope fashion catalogue to comment on their recent survey of older women wearing colour.

In case you missed the coverage in last weekend’s Daily Express, you can read it here.  It was also profiled on their website: http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/fashion-beauty/420864/Majority-of-British-women-over-50-have-wardrobes-full-of-dark-colours.

And online with Best Magazine:  http://www.bestdaily.co.uk/fashion/news/a504413/bring-some-bright-coloured-clothes-back-in-your-life.html.

In summary, always wear colour with your neutrals, it’s much more fun and interesting!

Design your perfect shoes!

A client of mine was having trouble finding the perfect shoes for her wedding day. After traipsing up and down Oxford Street and finding nothing, we were just about to give up when we came across this amazing website where you can create your own shoes and have them posted to your home in a couple of weeks.

Shoes of Prey was founded by 3 friends in Australia, for customers who want to design their perfect and unique shoes. They cater for all types, wide, narrow, odd, small and bridal in many different styles and colours. They send you a picture once they’re made, and post them in a luxurious box so even though they’re not cheap, you know you’re getting a super special treat! I can’t wait to see them in action at the wedding next month!
